Benefit Performance December 2009

“Dance To Make a Difference”
William J. Humphrey Jr. Memorial Presentation

Proceeds to benefit the Why Me Organization of Worcester
*Sponsored by the Worcester State College Dance Company*

December 5, 2009 7 PM
Sullivan Auditorium, Worcester State College

The William J. Humphrey Jr. Memorial Presentation was created to honor the FSD Director’s biggest fan, her father. Bill was a fun, loving, and charming man who cared deeply for his family. He had a passion for sports and was an avid golfer and great umpire. His love for his wife, children, and grandchildren was undeniably immeasurable, and not once did he ever miss a dance observation week or a dance recital. You could always find him behind the camcorder throughout the six hour, back-to-back days of dress rehearsal for fourteen years. Unfortunately, his time with us was cut short due to a long, draining battle with esophageal cancer. He had an energy around children that was indescribable, so it seemed suiting to help the Why Me Organization of Worcester in his honor, to aid those children and their families who are also battling cancer. The Faucher School of Dance is unduly grateful for everyone’s support in our efforts to help Why Me and can only hope others will realize the importance of helping cancer soldiers and do something about it. The Faucher School of dance is dedicated to making a difference.

Featuring Special Guests: The Synthesis Dance Project (Contemporary Dance Company of NYC directed by Broadway Dance Center’s Tracie Stanfield); ACTandCompany (Contemporary Musical Theatre Company of NYC co-directed by Worcester native Anthony Giorgio); Worcester State College Dance Company, directed by Lauren Cote; Keene State College Dancers, featuring Katelyn O’Leary; Students & Instructors of Canty Dance Centre, featuring Kristen Surprise; Vocalist Rachel Shuster; & special friends of FSD.

Child Safety Awareness Event!

Great news for all you parents!

The Molly Bish Foundation will be joining us at the Open House on Sunday, August 23rd 1-4pm. They will be hosting a child safety event along with finger-printing to keep your children safe, in an attempt to prevent what happened to Molly Bish years ago. Take advantage of this opportunity! Be sure to contact me with any questions/concerns you may have about the event. Faucher School of Dance always puts the safety and well-being of children as a highest priority.

I urge you to visit their web site and learn more about the cause! http://www.mollybish.org/

See you there!

Welcome!

Hi Everyone!

I am very eager and excited to announce the grand opening of the Faucher School of Dance! FSD has plenty to offer to its students with an enthusiastic, well-trained staff teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Cheer Dance, Hip-Hop, Teacher Training, and special Technique classes! Master Classes in Modern, Musical Theater, and more, taught by guest teachers will also be offered throughout the year for all students and non-members as well. Competition opportunities are available to those interested in joining the school's elite Company! However, a recreational program is also an option to those who are just looking for some pure fun!

I want to extend a special "Thank You" to parents and friends who have made this possible.

Visit us at the Open House on Sunday August 23rd from 1 to 4 PM. Come join the Faucher Dance Family for your dance education!
